Pink Ribbon Breakfast
October is internationally recognised as Breast Cancer Month. Nick’s
Bondi Beach Pavilion is hosting a Pink Ribbon Breakfast , to raise funds
for Breast Cancer research and the McGrath Foundation, on Monday,
October 22nd, 2007.
Jane McGrath together with her cricketing husband Glenn
co-founded the McGrath Foundation after her initial recovery
from breast cancer.
It is the aim of the McGrath Foundation to raise funds to place
breast care nurses in rural and regional Australia as well as educating young women to be “breast aware” as early detection saves lives.
In addition, celebrated photographer Jean-Pierre Bratanoff whose images have been described as “minimalist gems” will hold an exhibition of his latest works from the ‘Bondi Centenary Carnival’ and his most recent works entitled ‘Tip of the Iceberg’ in celebration of Bondi’s infamous Icebergs pool. Images will be available for sale during the breakfast and Jean-Pierre Bratanoff has generously donated an artwork for the Foundation.
